Steve Gomo has served as a member of our board of directors since March 2011. From 2002 to 2011, Mr. Gomo was at NetApp, a leading provider of innovative storage and data management solutions. He was a senior vice president and chief financial officer of NetApp from 2002 to 2004, and in 2004, he was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer. From 2000 to 2002, he served as chief financial officer for Gemplus International, a smart card provider, following its acquisition by Texas Pacific Group. In 2000, Mr. Gomo was chief financial officer of Asera, Inc., an internet solutions company focused on creating software for order and supply chain management in the business-to-business chain. From 1998 to 2000, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Silicon Graphics. Mr. Gomo began his career with Hewlett-Packard in 1974 and held various positions in finance, financial management, manufacturing, and general management, with his last position being general manager of the San Diego Division from 1993 to 1998.
In addition to serving on Enphase Energy's board of directors, Mr. Gomo currently serves on the board of directors of Micron Technology, Inc., Nutanix, Inc. and Solaria Corporation. He holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Oregon State University and an M.B.A. in finance from Santa Clara University.
Ben Kortlang has served as a member of our board of directors since May 2010. He is a founding partner of G2VP, a venture capital firm focused on companies which are digitizing traditional industries such as energy, transportation, logistics, industrials and agriculture. Mr. Kortlang is also a partner in Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth Fund where, since 2008 he has focused on investing in growth-stage sustainability companies.
Before joining KPCB, Mr. Kortlang co-led Goldman Sachs’ alternative energy investing business, managing its multi-billion-dollar portfolio of alternative energy investments, including First Solar, Horizon Wind Energy and SunEdison. During his eight year tenure at Goldman Sachs from 2000 to 2008, he also led the private equity investing business within Goldman’s special situations group and served as a vice president in Goldman’s investment banking group with a focus on industrials and natural resources. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kortlang was an associate with A.T. Kearney, a global strategy and operations management consulting firm, and was a business analyst at National Australia Bank, working in strategic planning and macroeconomic forecasting.
In addition to serving on Enphase Energy’s board of directors, Mr. Kortlang currently serves on the board of directors of Arcadia Power, Inc and Luminar Technologies, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and finance from RMIT University, a Bachelor of Commerce and an honors degree in econometrics from the University of Melbourne and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan
Badri Kothandaraman has served as a member of our board of directors since May 2018. He joined Enphase in April 2017 as chief operating officer and in September 2017 was appointed president and CEO. Mr. Kothandaraman brings to Enphase more than 21 years of product development and general management experience in the semiconductor industry. He began his career with Cypress Semiconductor in 1995 and worked in process technology development and chip design before becoming vice president of the Asynchronous SRAM Business in 2008. From 2008 to 2011, he was responsible for the Non-Volatile, Dual-Port, Timing and Automotive Businesses in Cypress’s Memory Products Division. Mr. Kothandaraman was promoted to executive vice president of Cypress’s Data Communications Division in 2011 and spent the next five years building the USB 3.0, USB-C and the Internet of Things businesses. He also served as the executive director of Cypress Semiconductor Technology India Private Limited from 2012 to 2016.
Mr. Kothandaraman received his B.Tech degree from IIT Madras and M.S. degree in materials science from U.C. Berkeley. He also attended the Stanford Executive Program in 2008 and holds eight U.S. patents.
Joseph Malchow has served as a member of our board of directors since February 2020. He is the founding partner at HNVR Technology Investment Management, a Seed and Series A venture capital firm with headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif. Hanover supports exceptional software entrepreneurs building companies that have meaningfully advanced the state of the art in fields including artificial intelligence, developer tooling, data and computing infrastructure, security, and finance. Previously, in 2011, Mr. Malchow cofounded Publir LLC, a cloud software company for high-traffic websites. In 2011, he was named to the Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ list, and in 2008, he was awarded The Wall Street Journal’s Bartley Fellowship.
In addition to serving on Enphase Energy’s board of directors, Mr. Malchow is currently a member of the board of the National Civic Arts Society in Washington, D.C. and is involved with Stanford University’s Freeman-Spogli Institute and Hoover Institution, and with The Federalist Society in Washington, D.C. He earned an A.B. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Stanford University.
Richard Mora has served as a member of our board of directors since February 2014. Mr. Mora was the CEO of Landis+Gyr through March 2020, where he previously served as COO, executive vice president and head of North America, and as executive vice president and head of the Americas. Prior to Landis+Gyr, Mr. Mora held various management positions within the Siemens group, including CEO of Siemens Metering, Inc., and director of quality for Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution. Previously, he worked at GE Capital, including as a manager of quality and leading process and productivity improvements. A Six Sigma Black Belt, Mr. Mora is an expert in process and productivity improvements at the corporate, regional and country level.
Mr. Mora holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Stanford University.
Thurman John Rodgers
Thurman John Rodgers has served as a member of our board of directors since January 2017. He brings 34 years of public company CEO experience to our board. Mr. Rodgers founded Cypress Semiconductor Corporation in 1982 and served as the president, CEO and member of the board of directors until April 2016. From June 2004 through December 2012, Mr. Rodgers was a member of the board of trustees of Dartmouth College, his alma mater. From May 2002 to May 2011, Mr. Rodgers served as a member of the board of directors of SunPower Corporation.
In addition to serving on Enphase Energy’s board of directors, he is presently a member of the board of directors of Enovix Corporation (lithium ion batteries), Solaria Corporation (advanced solar energy products) and WaterBit, Inc. (IoT-based watering). He holds bachelor’s degrees in physics and chemistry from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. At Stanford, Mr. Rodgers invented, developed and patented VMOS technology.
